DFW Cities Ranked Among Allstate's Best Drivers
Allstate insurance company concluded a two year study that analyzed the average vehicular crash rate for many U.S. cities and ranked them according to the probability of being in an accident. Of the cities ranked, 21 Texas cities were ranked among America's 200 best. Fort Worth was at the top of the list for cities in the DFW Metroplex at number 133 followed by Plano at 162 and Grand Prairie, Carrolton, and Mesquite at numbers 165-167. Dallas ranked 173rd and Arlington came in at 177th.
Even though the number of auto crashes in general has declined in recent years, crash fatalities still average around 40,000 per year.
